Austin surprise Wedding!

It was a top secret wedding, and I was itching to tell, but very proud of myself for NOT! Randee and Jay live in Houston but quietly made their way to Austin for their very sweet Wedding. With them were Randee’s three children. It was intimate, meaningful and quite beautiful. The flowers were gorgeous! They were designed by Ruth Weinheimer of FleurishAustin. Randee and Jay, may your lives be filled with happiness and love, now, and always. Hugs to you both, Ginny

Selly’s 80th Birthday party! Happy Fourth of July!

Meet my father in law! He recently celebrated his 80th birthday on the fourth of july, in Dallas Texas. We had the opportunity to go visit and were thrilled that we could attend the party! I just had to blog about this man. He is truly one of the kindest, sweetest, generous and wisest men I know and I am proud to have him as my father in law!

look at those eyes, look at those curls!!!!! This session was awesome. Little Oliver loved the toy closet, and some of them even made it into some of the images. It was all good though, watching him light up and run around the studio was worth it! awe, to have that kind of energy again…

Pier’s Dallas Bat Mitzvah Bash!

Where do i begin? About two years ago I met this amazing family at an Austin Bar Mitzvah that I was photographing. they asked if I would travel to dallas, texas for their daughter’s bat mitzvah, and i though “why not?” I am so very very very happy that i was asked because we just had the time of our lives! Pier’s family and friends were wonderful! The Bat Mitzvah ceremony was so touching, it seemed like everyone was dabbing tissue to their eyes. So sweet.

The party was held at the Stonebriar Country Club, an absolutely gorgeous venue. I have to say, the most fun was when confetti exploded everywhere and people continued throwing it up in the air for the rest of the party. DJ Simcha (ONCE AGAIN!) kept the dance floor packed until the end. People were having so much fun that we resumed to the “after party” in the enormous hospitality suite at The Westin Hotel. DJ Simcha even set up the disco ball and played some awesome tunes. I actually think that the “after party” needs a blog post of it’s own!

Pier, i cant thank you and your family enough for including us on this special weekend.

One Year Baby portrait, with cake and all!

What else do you do when it’s your birthday? You eat cake! And a lot of it! I had the pleasure of celebrating this sweet angel’s birthday with a photo session. Her parents wanted to send out thank you cards with a photo of her enjoying birthday cake. This is a super fun family and this little one year old is just about as cute as it gets. Check out her many facial expressions. Too fun! The cake wasn’t bad either!

I don’t even know where to begin as i write about this family. Kind, thoughtful, generous and yes most of all, sweet! these four sisters play together, share everything and look out for each other. Mom and Dad are just as amazing. their parenting skills are inspiring. ok, and just look at them, gorgeous, right???

Juliana’s Bat mitzvah Boat bash!

Juliana and her family had a super fun idea for her Bat Mitzvah party…have it on a boat! We traveled across the lake for a few amazing hours. Mexican food, good music and a lot of laughter were had by all. Terry and I giggled the whole time as we balanced our way through the party on a rocking boat.

Lyndsey’s Bat Mitzvah Bash!

Meet Lindsey! We had so much fun at her Bat Mitzvah. She did an amazing job, and I was thrilled to be able to attend the service. Lindsey’s service was an afternoon service called, Mincha ma’ariv. following, we had a havdallah service (see bottom left image) and it was quite beautiful, in more ways than one. you could just feel the warmth of the room from the singing and just the connection everyone seemed to have with each other.

Her party was produced by Lynne Blevins. I love working with Lynne. She is so calming, so organized, so creative and a huge pleasure to work with.

Baby Tobias has arrived!

Where do I begin??? The joy of being a birth photographer is beyond amazing. To say I love, love it, love, is an understatement. meet Tobias and his family. One of my favorite moments was witnessing the first meeting of Tobias and his big sister. I was overwhelmed with emotion and love filled that room from wall to wall, ceiling to floor and more!
